Blacks connect has significantly evolved it proposition over the last 12 months to align itself even closer to the ever changing intermediary and lender distribution sector. With the advent of more Ltd Co and portfolio BTL mortgage work, we have set up a specific Lender team to deal with this increasingly specialised work. We have also appointed a new Commercial Property lawyer to oversee this work stream. Each member of staff in the team will have in depth knowledge of each lenders requirements in the transaction. We have also launched into the equity release market, creating a specialist team to deal with this unique area. It now offers a bespoke service for brokers and their clients and we have gained a real foothold in this market, forming strong partnerships with some of the biggest players. We have redesigned and are about to relaunch a new version of “Connect” our online quoting and instruction portal, It will now boast integrated case tracking and many other new features. We have appointed a training manager to ensure all our staff are trained to the highest standards and we can provide the professional and knowledgeable service that is paramount to our core objectives. We have streamlined the processing of work to move with the increasing digital focus and drive to speed up transaction times. Our ethos is to forge strategic partnership with key suppliers whereby we can control service standards and client and broker engagement to provide a service to the client and broker which Is second to none.

Blacks Connect is part of Blacks Solicitors LLP, a 21-partner full service law firm and unlike the numerous conveyancing platform propositions, if instructed, we do the work. We add additional value to our proposition because we offer specialist legal services that most other conveyancing firms can’t. Unlike most other legal service providers, we can also offer, if required, a panel management option. We have a readymade panel of Conveyancers who have been vetted and approved by us. We are committed to offering mortgage brokers, intermediaries and IFA’s a high-quality service supported by our online quotation and management system. We provide a high-level personal service where both the Intermediary and Client have a direct telephone number and email address for the conveyancer and the team looking after their cases. We believe that our product offering is not just competitively priced but innovative, creating opportunities for advisers to increase their product depth and knowledge. Blacks is passionate about increasing broker knowledge and awareness about conveyancing. To further this aim, we regularly support and speak at an extensive number of broker events and seminars. To truly understand each lender and their requirements, Blacks joined IMLA this year, the only conveyancer to become an associate member. It did this to show its commitment to the intermediary market and help drive legal services education and direction. Membership is also to truly understand lenders’ needs and to input into future proposals that may help to improve the intermediary mortgage market.
